Theresa came to me when I was stressed and worried about my four-month-old not taking a bottle for when I went into day surgery. She helped us set up finger feeding for dad to do that day and explained to me the possible reasons why she wouldn't latch properly to the bottle, but could feed wonderfully at the breast. I had a turbulent start to breastfeeding - my baby struggled to latch and developed a breast aversion. Theresa came to our house and gave me the confidence/plan to establish a breastfeeding relationship with my baby. It was a long process with many hurdles but I always went back to the resources Theresa sent me and kept trying the things she suggested. At 7 weeks, my baby latched and I've been loving the freedom/bonding that breastfeeding has unlocked. Pumping gave me a lot of stress and I'm grateful I've managed to eliminate it from my life. Theresa is evidence based and will share journal articles/up to date science to help you. It's not based on anecdotal experiences which I found really helpful. She is always available on email and by phone. I wish I had gotten the help earlier and paid for private, in-home personalized advice. I just needed to feel safe and heard - and Theresa made that happen. 💕 If you're struggling but stubborn and don't want to give up - get a second opinion and a plan from Theresa. It's money well spent!

When I first heard of IBCLCs in my pregnancy I thought why the heck would anyone need one of those - you just pop baby on the breast and away you go laughing… Now my eyes are open…! Theresa has come into my breastfeeding journey as a much needed ambulance at the bottom of the cliff. Her input has been invaluable, helping me grow in confidence and capability with breastfeeding and parenting in general after a rocky start that culminated in over a week in hospital, and my husband and I only wish we had her in our corner 8 weeks earlier to put some specialist fencing up the top of the cliff!
